St. Joseph residents continue to clean up after storms roared through the area, taking down trees, and shutting off power to thousands.

As many as 25,000 St. Joseph residents lost power with 4,000 outages reports in the Kansas Central area.

Evergy reports more than 7,000 St. Joseph area residents remain without electricity as of mid-Saturday afternoon.

The City of St. Joseph closed the REC Center Saturday, because it was without power. Fairview closed due to tree damage.
