The latest girls basketball polls released by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association saw the Lafayette girls basketball team drop out of the top spot in Class 4, while Benton stayed put and Savannah rose up one spot.

The Lady Irish, who earned the top spot in Class 4 in the previous polls, fell from #1 to #3 in this week's poll with 57 points, falling behind Stafford and Doniphan with 71 and 68 points respectively.  The Benton Lady Cardinals remained at #7, going from 31 points to 36 points this week however, just narrowly behind the #6 team Logan Rogersville with 39 points.  Savannah sits in a three way tie for #9, along with Oak Grove and St. Francis Borgia.

Other teams from around the region remained in the polls as well.  In Class 3, the Mid-Buchanan Lady Dragons moved back up, moving from #9 to #7 with 24 points.  In Class 1, the Rock Port girls held on to the top spot with 79 points.  Again in Class 1, the Mound City girls continued to garner votes but remained unranked.
