Trudy Lynn Guy, 70, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026.
She was born July 6, 1955 in St. Joseph to Larry and Ina (Rowlison) Jahnke. Trudy was a 1976 Lafayette High School graduate.
In 1978, Trudy married Thomas Guy. They later divorced but remained friends until he preceded her in death on November 12, 2018.
Trudy worked at Best Western and Burger King, and worked at the family business, Jahnke Family Upholstery, for many years. She then was the primary caregiver for her son, Jason.
She enjoyed her flower garden and listening to her children sing. She liked to cook, dance and watch Disney movies.
Above all, Trudy treasured time with her family, especially during cookouts, fishing and camping.
She was preceded in death by her mother; sons, Thomas Guy, Jr. and Jason Guy; sister, Brenda Jahnke; and brother, James Jahnke.
Survivors include her daughter, Felicia Guy; her father; stepbrother, Steve Wolfenbarger and other step—siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Monday, March 30, Simplify Cremations & Funerals. The family requests donation to Trudy’s Funeral Fund.
