Janice Searcy, 83, of Weston MO, was reunited with her sons on November 12th, 2023. She was born July 9th, 1940 in Platte County, MO. Janice was the daughter to Claude and Marguerite (Leipard) Vest Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Joe and Jeff Searcy, brothers Harold and Mickey Vest.
Janice is survived by her sister, Shirley Nixon(Norman), sister-in-laws, Shirley and Terry Vest, daughter-in-law, Charla, grandchildren, Jessica Sherwood (Tim) and Michaela Contreras (Jason), Matthew (Lauren) and Mitchell Searcy as well as her greatgrandchildren, Jackson, Brockston, and Kohlston Sherwood and Hudson and Belle Searcy. Janice was very unique and quite the character.
She was spicy, silly and sweet. She loved people. Her favorite pasttime was meeting new people, making friends laugh and catching up on the latest gossip. She was probably best known for being strong and a hard worker. Janice retired from McCormick Distilling Company after 50 years. However, she liked to keep busy and never really retired. She had several other jobs over the years, sometimes many at a time. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held, July 7th at Salem Christian Church at 21170 Dye Store Road Weston, Missouri, from 2pm-4pm. Arrangements by: Vaughn Funeral Home~Weston, Missouri.
