Stacy Lynn Curtis, 58, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 after a battle with lung cancer and COPD. She was lovingly surrounded by family at the time of her passing. Her sister Sammi was at her side tending to her needs.

Born on May 7, 1965, she was the youngest daughter of Robert and Beverly Wolfing. Growing up, she split her time between living with her father in St Joseph, Missouri and living with her mother in Lincoln, Nebraska. December 1982, Stacy married the love of her life, Charles Curtis in a small church ceremony celebrated by family and friends. Together they built a life of 41 years, raising their two beautiful daughters, Lachelle and Annie and adoring their grandchildren.

Stacy’s journey through life was marked by her devotion to her family, her passion for caring for others, and her unwavering kindness. Stacy was a great storyteller, entertaining and making everyone laugh with stories of her latest mishaps. Stacy had an innate ability to make everyone feel loved and appreciated. Everyone was welcome in her home. She loved to decorate her home, especially for Halloween.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Micki Jo West, and Tamala Boydston, her brother Robert Wolfing Jr, her sister-in-laws Cindy Wolfing and Rosie Locke, her parents Robert Wolfing Sr, Beverly Newman, her stepmothers Janice Wolfing and Burnita Wolfing, grandparents Ernest and Genevieve Wolfing, Oscar and Ethel Perkins, grandmother-in-law Opal Thompson, and precious infant granddaughter Trinity Dawn Mae Gallegos.

Stacy leaves behind the only love she has ever known, her husband Chuck. Her legacy will be carried on by her daughters Lachelle(Robert) Schmitt, and Annie Curtis (Travis Holbrook), granddaughters; Hailey Roach, Breyonna Gardner, Taylynn Holbrook; grandsons Gauge Curtis, Chad Brant, Tyson Holbrook and TJ Holbrook; her siblings Sammi Puett of Kansas City, Michael Wolfing (Shirley) and Kim Wolfing of Lincoln NE, Rodney Wolfing (Malinda) of St Joseph, and stepbrother Michael Locke of St Joseph. She also leaves behind sister-in-law Shelly Garland (Mark), sister-in-law Robin Jenkins (Thad) and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will deeply miss her fun-loving spirit and generous heart.

Stacy Lynn Curtis’s life was one of nurturing love, selfless service, and the joy of simple pleasures. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories passed down through generations. May her memory live on forever in our hearts and lives.
