Missouri Western junior and St. Joseph Central alum Jordan Garr has been selected to compete in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships next week in Birmingham, Alabama.
Garr is just the second Griffon in the history of the men's program to qualify for the NCAA Meet. Phil Thompson made it in long jump in 2018.
Garr competed in seven indoor meets this season and won four titles. He capped it off by becoming the first Missouri Western track & field athlete to win an individual MIAA championship this past Sunday in Topeka.
Garr's mark of 58 feet and 6 3/4 inches at the MIAA Championship broke his own school record and has him ranked seventh in the nation going into the NCAA meet.
The NCAA Division II Championships start March 11th and run through March 13th.
