The St. Joseph Mustangs swept a doubleheader at home against the Des Moines Peak Prospects Tuesday, winning the first game 4-1 and the second 12-2.
Both games were seven innings long.
Savannah alum Dakota Spicer had a pair of hits, while another former Savage, Braden Barry, pitched a complete game in the first game of the doubleheader, striking out six and walking none.
In the second game, the Mustangs scored all of their runs over the final two innings with seven runs in the sixth and five in the seventh.
Mid-Buchanan alum Brady Holden had a team-high three hits in the second game, while Lafayette graduate Ike Book hit a double.
The Mustangs (17-12), who have now won four straight, hit the road for a doubleheader at first place Clarinda (28-4). The first game starts at 5 p.m.
