COVID-19 hospitalizations fall in St. Joseph

Mosaic Life Care reports COVID-19 hospitalizations fell on Sunday, but went up a bit on Monday.

Mosaic reports it is treating 56 COVID-19 patients at its St. Joseph hospital as of Monday morning, up from 50 on Sunday. Two coronavirus patients are being treated in Maryville.

Mosaic has now tested 42,610 area residents with 3,872 testing positive. Mosaic is awaiting results from 99 tests.

St. Joseph health officials reported another coronavirus-related death on Friday, bringing the Buchanan County total to 48. Buchanan County has recorded a total of 4,051 cases since the pandemic began.

Health officials say a man in his 70’s with underlying health conditions died of COVID-19.

Andrew County reported another death on its COVID-19 dashboard, bringing the county total to 10. Andrew County reports a total of 706 cases.

Doniphan County, Kansas reports a total of 211 cases.

Missouri health officials report 185,535 cases, resulting in 3,026 deaths.

Kansas health officials report a total of 85,181 cases and 1,029.
