Michael Wisneski September 27, 1949-June 13, 2025

Michael W. Wisneski 75, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 at a St. Joseph hospital. He was born September 27, 1949 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Patsy and Norbert Wisneski. He graduated from Benton High School, and attended two years at Missouri Western State College. He married Judy Hanken on April 17, 1970. He worked at St. Joseph Light & Power, and retired from KCP&L as a General Design Tech after 42 years of service.

Mike loved to take care of others, always putting everyone else above himself. He adored and spoiled his grandchildren. He took great pride in maintaining his yard and loved being outdoors. Mike was all about sports. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was a great baseball player, and passed down all of his knowledge to his kids and grandkids. He loved to go fishing with his family. In his later days, he'd rather stand and watch his grandchildren fish, than fish himself. He attended  Lake Avenue Baptist Church.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Wisneski, sisters, Barbara Herbison, and Melissa Novak. Survivors include: wife, Judy Wisneski of the home, mother, Patsy F. Wisneski, son, Kevin Wisneski, and daughter, Kelley Wisneski (Cody Cook) both of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren: Mikey Talbott (DJ Stallard), Jordan (Seth) Calvert, and Cole Cook, great grandchildren; Carter, Emma, Skylee, and Rynlee, brothers; Joe Wisneski, Sam (Sandy) Wisneski, Robert (Wanda) Wisneski, and Patrick Wisneski, and his sister, Penny (Saul) Solomon, as well as several nieces, nephews and in-laws.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
