2 injured after SUV strikes disabled pickup on Mo. highway

CLINTON COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Sunday in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2026 Hyundai Tucson driven by a 60-year-old Ostrander, Ohioman was westbound on MO 116 at NE Valann Lane to mile east of Lathrop. The Hyundai SUV struck a 2012 Chevy Colorado driven by an 18-year-old Lathrop man that was stationary following an earlier crash.

Tri-County EMS transported the teen driver to Liberty Hospital. Holt Fire and EMS transported the 60-year-old driver to North Kansas City Hospital. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
