Kenneth Palmer Glasspoole, 79, Springfield, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at his daughter’s home in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He was born May 11, 1943, in River Falls, Wisconsin to Oliver and Junice (Johnson) Glasspoole.
He married Marilyn Lea Mann on June 20, 1964. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2020.
Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Navy, then went on to work for Texaco, Arctic Air, and Rubicon Investments. He was always a handyman in addition to his other jobs.
He loved to read and play with his grandson and great-grandchildren. He was always tinkering with cars and could fix just about any sort of vehicle with a motor. He also could fix anything from household appliances, air conditioners, central heat and air to even on one (or more) occasion, a hot tub. Kenneth also was known for his chili and spaghetti sauce made from scratch.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; his parents; and brother, Larry G. Glasspoole.
Survivors include his daughter, Julie (Joe) Schock; grandson, Christopher J. (Damara) Schock; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn Elardo, Samuel Elardo, Dalton Schock and Ashlynne Schock; siblings, Helen (Ron) Saunders, Arnold (Joan) Glasspoole, Carol Brown, Donna Noyce, Michael Glasspoole, Dennis Glasspoole, Patrick Glasspoole, Donald Glasspoole, James Glasspoole, and David Glasspoole.
