Lorrie D. Hunt, 68, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023 at a local health care facility. She was born March 29, 1955 in Kansas City, MO, daughter of Virginia and Leroy Kline. She graduated from Benton High School, class of 1973. Lorrie worked at Leaverton Auto Parts, and later as a Receptionist with Dr. Crist's office. She loved her grandchildren, especially watching them play sports, and she also loved animals. Lorrie was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Andrea Kline. Survivors include: daughters, Nichole (Brian) Schmidt of St Joseph and Rachael (Nathan) Rich of St. Joseph, brother, Mitchell (Mary) Kline of Shawnee, KS, grandsons, Tanner and Carson Schmidt, Jaxson, Carter, Peyton, and Ascher Rich, and nephew, Malcolm Kline.Ms. Hunt has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 5:30 pm Friday at Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday. Memorials are requested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
