Garey Thomas Jagodzinski 79, of Elwood, KS, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 in a St. Joseph, MO Hospital. He was born October 18, 1944 in St. Joseph, Missouri, son of the late Virginia & John Jagodzinski. He married Sharon Carter Jagodzinski on June 20, 1969, and she survives of the home. He was a career military man, serving in the United States Army, and retiring from the United States Navy after 33 years of service. He is a veteran of the Viet Nam War, and a member of the VFW Post 6760. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Garey was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Emma Baggio, and grandson, Lukas Baggio, and his sister, Teresa Nolan. He is survived by wife, Sharon Kay Jagodzinski of home, three daughters, Angela (Elroy) Thayer, Tammy (Jerry) Walker, and Penny (Katie) Jagodzinski all of Elwood, KS, grandchildren:l Garey Jagodzinski, Amy Amos, and Terry Smith, and seven great grandchildren. He will be cremated under care and direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.
