Linda Sue Downing Dudley, 71, of Dallas, Texas died Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the home of her son in Dallas.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Elder Kenneth Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Linda was born August 8, 1952 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Jesse Downing and Mary Ward. She attended Martin East and Martin West Elementary Schools then Ingalls Junior High School and Atchison High School.
Linda was a cook until her health failed. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. She got joy from helping others. She had a big heart and loved attending church. Linda was a member of Crossroads Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dallas, Texas.
She and Ralph Dudley were united in marriage on April 5, 1969 in Atchison, Kansas. They were later divorced.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Dudley, Dallas, TX; two sons, Ralph (Mary) Dudley, Jr., Dallas, TX; Donat Murray, Dallas, TX; Step Mother, Betty Ann Downings, Atchison, KS; brothers, Dwayne Jackson; Donnie Wright; and step-brother, Maurice Jackson; sisters, Corrine Jackson; Theresa Jackson; Anita Shooks; and step-sisters, Jerri Finney and Linda Thomas; twelve grandchildren, Deron Dudley; Nashira Dudley; Tiffany Pitchlyn; Trevon Dudley; Mariah Murray; Donat Murray, Jr.; Rylan Murray; and five great grandchildren, Kieal Murray; Eden Murray; Cloey Roger; Curtis Roger and Tanae Clark; step grandson, Marquie Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Downing and Mary Ward; brother, Jesse Wayne Downing, Jr.; and sister, Connie Shooks.
