Karma Dorman February 20, 1962-August 6, 2025

Karma Leigh (Foster) Dorman passed away peacefully on Aug. 6, 2025, after a short illness. Born and raised in St. Joseph, Mo., she graduated from Central High School and attended Northwest Missouri State University.

Throughout her professional career, Karma specialized in call center management and service at several Kansas City companies, including Sprint and Anthony Heating and Cooling. She always excelled at her work and served as a mentor to her colleagues. Karma retired from Anthony in 2024.

While working at Sprint, Karma met Bob Dorman and quickly realized she had found her soulmate. They were married on Nov. 11, 1993, and enjoyed more than 30 years, not just as husband and wife, but as best friends.

Beloved by family and friends, Karma viewed life with humor. She appreciated a good joke, was quick to laugh and made life fun. A blessing to her family, she called her mom every night and was a favorite of her nieces and nephews.

Karma was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and her father, Henry Royce Foster. She is survived by her mother, Janeta Foster; brothers and sisters-in-law Keith Foster and Kimm Fromm Foster; Kevin and Debbie Foster; and Kirby and Ann Foster; plus 18 nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 12:30 to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Hospice House through the University of Kansas Health System or Cornerstone Baptist Church.
