Kathy Lynn (Payne) Dye was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on May 17, 1955. She was one of three daughters of Corbin F. and Hazel (Simon) Payne. Kathy attended school in Oregon.
Kathy was currently employed by Tyson Foods, St. Joseph. She had previously worked at South Holt School, Squaw Creek Truck Plaza, and Nodaway Nursing Home.
Kathy passed away at a Maryville, Missouri hospital on Monday, January 16, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Gail Coy.
In 1993 she married Larry Dye. He survives of their Maitland, Missouri home.
Additional survivors include children, Michael (Ally) Montgomery of Richmond, Missouri, Christina (Salvador) Luevano of Maitland, Missouri, and Gregory (Tasha) George of Chillicothe, Missouri; sister, Marjorie (Eric) Haider, Maitland, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, Kaylynn King, MaKayla George, Leona Wilfong, Breanna, Byron, Caitlin, Brantley, and Lorenzo George, Nicholas and Sienna Montgomery, Brielle Prince, Christopher Herrero, and Kolton Lekey; six great grandchildren, Kinsley King, Willow Hunt, Julia Lee, Alex Herrero, and Amya and Alia Prince; and nieces and nephews.
Services: Saturday, January 21, 2023, 1:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, Missouri. Family visitation: Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon.
