NW Mo. pilot drove himself to hospital after small plane crash

LIVINGSTON COUNTY—One person was injured in a small plane crash just before 3p.m. Wednesday in Livingston County. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1978 Cessna piloted by 51-year-old Charles Peniston of Chillicothe crashed in a hay field.

Peniston drove himself to the hospital, according to a media release from the Livingston County Sheriff. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
