Randall Leon Ferguson 1939 - 2023

Randall Leon Ferguson passed away March 12th, at the age of 83, at ANEW Healthcare (Shady Lawn) surrounded by his children. He now joins his beloved wife Sharon and his parents in heaven.

Randall was born September 14th to Floyd and Myrtle Ferguson in 1939 in Rosendale, Missouri. He was a graduate of Rosendale High School, class of 1957.

After graduating high school, Randall served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1961 as an ammunition truck driver for an artillery unit, receiving an honorable discharge. Randall married the love of his life, Sharon, on July 3, 1966, and they spent 56 wonderful years together. They raised one son, Floyd Alan, two daughters, Karla and Michelle.

Randall worked on the family farm raising hogs and row crops plus working as a laborer foreman for several construction companies. He later worked for the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Derr Equipment, and the Savannah Car Wash. He loved river fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors.

He was a Freemason of the Masonic Rosendale Lodge 404 A.F. and A.M., Rosendale, Missouri, St. Joseph Missouri Laborers’ Local 579 and a member of Bolckow Christian Church in Bolckow, Missouri.

He is survived by his children; Floyd Alan Ferguson wife Melissa, Karla Roach husband Rod, and Michelle Richardson husband Chris, sister Donna Ritter husband Ron, brother Noel Ferguson, brother Van Ferguson wife Joan, his five grandchildren, Justin Remick wife Dana, Jakob Richardson, Drake Remick, Pearl and Preston Ferguson, as well as by the many adoring great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Randall’s family extends special appreciation and gratitude to ANEW Healthcare (Shady Lawn) and Freudenthal Home-Based Care, especially Hospice, for taking great care of him and helping him pass to the next life peacefully.

Per Randall’s request; there will be a graveside service at Bennett Lane Cemetery 8831 U.S. 71 Savannah, MO 64485 at 1:30 pm, March 15, 2023, Chaplain Dennis Jones, Officiating.

In lieu of flowers, his family invites those who knew him to donate in his honor to the Andrew County Senior Center 12737 State Hwy E. Savannah, Missouri.
