William M. Schreiber, Jr.,73, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.
Bill was born February 4, 1950 in St. Joseph, Missouri to William M. Schreiber, Sr. and Margaret Beaty Schreiber. He was a graduate of Central High School, St. Joseph, Class of 1968.
Bill attended the University of Missouri, completing his bachelor’s degree at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. He had several careers beginning with the family business, Schreiber Mills, followed by employment as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch, and lastly owning/operating Pro Marq Graphics, a screen printed sports apparel company.
Bill loved playing golf, cards and watching sports especially Mizzou and he loved his dogs and Britt’s too.
Family was very important to Bill and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Baker of San Mateo, CA.
Survivors include his daughter Britten Schreiber of Leawood, KS; grandchildren Bennett Schreiber, Eleanor Eastman and Vivienne Eastman, all of Leawood, KS; nephews Ryan Baker (Carey) and their daughter, Mila of San Francisco, CA, and Nicholas Baker (Sharon) and their children, Jax and Casey of Denver, CO; former wife, Ellen K. Porter of Prairie Village, KS; former sisters-in-law Juliet Kirwan of Mission, KS and Catherine K. Barton of Prairie Village, KS; cousins Susan McDowell and Nancy Schreiber, both of Santa Fe, NM, and Megan Wyeth of St. Joseph, Missouri
