Jerry Ann Brees, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at The Pines in Hiawatha, Kansas.
Jerry was born November 8, 1945, in Wellington, Kansas, to Wanda Mae Knox McClarnon Munyon and Harlen James McClarnon. She carried forward her family’s strong values of service and heritage, including her involvement in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), being the Historian in her local American Legion Auxiliary chapter and her local P.E.O. chapter.
Jerry had a passion for quilting and all things gardening, including completing the Master Gardener Program through Kansas State University. Above all, she loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.
Jerry was preceded in death by her father, Harlen James McClarnon 1976; mother, Wanda Mae Knox McClarnon 2017; husband, Roland Royce Brees 2023. She is survived by her brother, Jim (Diana) McClarnon of Dudley, Georgia; her sister Kathy McClarnon of Colorado Springs; her daughters, Robin (Justin) Forte of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Mindy (Nathan) Huning of Morrill, Kansas; her step-sons, Roger Brees and Robert Brees; and her grandchildren, Addison (Kris) Meyer, Griffen Huning and Emery Huning.
Jerry will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the love she shared with those around her.

A private family graveside will be held March 23, 2026 at Rose Hill Cemetery, South Haven, Kansas and was buried with her parents.
