Lauri Lee Bracken, of Rolla, MO, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the age of 63, just days shy of her 64th birthday. She was born on December 28, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan. On April 16, 1982 she married Kelly S. Bracken.
Lauri had an excellent soprano voice, touring Europe twice with Harding University Acapella Chorus under the direction of “Uncle Bud” (Kenneth Davis, Jr.). Church brethren always wanted to sit in front of her during worship, to hear her hit high, solid, and sustained soprano notes. She was very social, outgoing, and loved visiting with friends. She enjoyed singing, reading, knitting, and baking. Everyone knew her as a sweet person. Friends describe her as “beautiful, lovely, friendly, very kind, bubbly, vivacious, thoughtful, upbeat, always wore a smile, and a warm presence felt”.
Lauri will be greatly missed by her surviving family which includes; her husband, Kelly of Rolla, MO; a son, Kyle of Ft. Worth, TX; two daughters, Claire of Denver, CO and Grace of Charleston, SC; and two brothers, Stephen of Muskegon, MI and Matt of Nashville, TN.
A memorial service for Lauri L. Bracken will scheduled for a later date at the Rolla Church of Christ. Inurnment to be at a future date, in Spotts Cemetery, Sharp Co., Arkansas.
