St. Joseph is one step closer to finding its next City Manager.
St. Joseph searches for another City Manager after Gary Edwards resigned just two months after accepting the position.
The application process for the new City Manager position closed yesterday.
Mayor Bill McMurray says he talked to the search firm Baker Tilly early in the day yesterday.
"At that time, had received 53 applications for the City Manager Position," McMurray tells St. Joseph Post.
McMurray says the council will narrow the list to a finalists list.
The council will achieve a consensus on bringing that 20 down to maybe, I think last time we got down to four finalists," says McMurray.
The finalists will be brought in for in-person interviews in mid-April.
