Michael Clair Eivins 56, of Easton, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 in a St. Joseph, MO hospital.
He was born April 28, 1969 in Grinnell, IA, son of Carol (Wagner) and Everett Eivins. His family moved to St. Joseph when he was four years old. He graduated from Benton High School class of 1988. Michael married the true love of his life Cristen McDonell on May 17, 2025 (She was his Beth, and he was her Rip). He started his work life at Barbosas, then proudly worked in law enforcement for the Missouri Department of Corrections, serving also with the US Marshal Service, and later for the Missouri Department of Public Safety and Altec industries. Michael knew no strangers and loved life on the farm, hanging out with his friends, and he loved listening to music.
He was preceded in death by father, Everett Eivins.
Survivors include: wife, Cristen Eivins of the home, mother, Carol Eivins, St. Joseph, MO, brother, Jonathan (Chris) Eivins, son, Austin L. Eivins, daughter, Marissa N. Eivins, niece Caitlin nephew Josh Eivins, God daughters, Sandra Edwards and Jaigen Edwards, Cristen's children, Austin, Caitlyn, & Dalton McDonell, and uncle, Charles Wagner.
The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM on Thursday April 16, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home.
