Rosa “Mama Lena” Turcios, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023.
She was born May 13, 1941 in Usulutan, El Salvador to Juan Pablo Turcios and Ana Vincenta Chavez.
Rosa married Jose Hernan Flores on January 24, 1975. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1979.
She was a member of Iglesia Fuente de Vida.
Rosa enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jose; son, Hector Flores; and her parents.
Survivors include her son, Fredis Flores (Susana); grandchildren, Brenda Norris (Nathan), Marvin Flores, Fred Flores, Jessica Flores, and Ruth Flores; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Lucy, Anibal, and Fredis; and nephew, Jose Napolion Turcios.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Friday, Iglesia Fuente de Vida. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
