Carol Rosetta Leafty 64, of Hiawatha, Kansas passed away at her home on January 12th, 2024.
Carol was one of 17 children born to James and Iva (Smith) Leafty; born on November 4th, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She spent her childhood in Utah, later moving to Nebraska, Michigan, Indiana, and Kansas.
Carol is survived by her children: Addie Leafty and Isaac Bird. Other survivors include siblings: David Leafty, James Leafty, Eldon Leafty, Gary Leafty, Larry Leafty, Virgil Leafty, Renae Meints, Linda Sailors, Colleen Leafty, Leona Leafty, Arlene Leafty and, a granddaughter; Athena. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Ronald Leafty, George Leafty, Isaac Leafty, Rebecca Reeve, and Myrtle (Leafty) Carter and partner Ron Davis.
Carol was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints in Hiawatha. Carol’s favorite hobby was rug making. She enjoyed sharing her craft of handmade rugs with family and friends.
