Mary Ann Cook, 79, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at a Wathena, KS health care facility. She was born May 21, 1943 in Safford, AZ, daughter of Marjorie and Albert Spradlin.
She graduated from North Platte High School, class of 1961. Mary worked most of her life as a caregiver. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, mushrooming and collecting rocks.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, former husband John Cox, husband, James Cook and a sister, Martha Bomberger.
Survivors include daughters, Pam (Kenny) Hughes of St. Joseph and Sonya (Shawn) Wilson of St Joseph, son, John (Traci) Cox of Maysville, MO, sisters, Betty Stancil of Dearborn, MO and Rosella Mathis of Nortonville, KS, grandchildren, Jamie, January, Coby, Patience, Torrie, Blair and Daven, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home. Ms. Cook will be cremated following services.
