Arthur Wayne Sawyer, 71, Agency, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at the University of Kansas Hospital.
Art was born November 17, 1952 to Donald Lee and Margaret Jane (Cooksey) Sawyer in Saint Joseph, Missouri.
Art married Stefanie on April 28, 1973. She survives of the home.
Art retired after 23 years from Nestle Purina Pet Care. Art enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Art was preceded in death by his parents, brother Denver L. Sawyer and sister Jannis Kay Sawyer.
He is survived by his wife, Stef, children Donnie (Jeanine) of Savannah, MO, Melissa (Tony) of Agency, MO, Josh (Trish) of St. Joseph, Cody (Amanda) of Rushville, MO; grandchildren Skylar (Amarah) of St. Joseph, MO, Dakota Dillon (Miranda) of St. Joseph, Elizabeth, Trenton and Makayla of St. Joseph, MO, Reggie & Henry of Savannah, MO, Meredith and Max of Rushville, MO and a great grandchild due in October; siblings Barbara (John) Tillery, Ronald (Linda) Sawyer, Norman (Shelly) Sawyer, Hugh (Brenda) Sawyer and Keith (Debbie) Sawyer.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16th at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery.
