Before that, he coached the Central girls from 2015-2020, compiling a 79-54 record and two district titles in that time.</p><p>Boone replaces Gary Belcher at Benton, as <a href="https://stjosephpost.com/posts/79d97a65-2ae5-416b-92c5-0d373b7d8ea6">Belcher will be the new boys’ basketball coach</a> at Lawson next year.</p><p>Benton also announced the hiring of Lauryn Doolan as their next head volleyball coach Monday.</p><p>Doolan is a 2013 Benton graduate and was a basketball and volleyball standout. She had been an assistant coach on Barbara Bell’s staff.</p><p>Doolan is also an assistant track coach at Spring Garden Middle School.
