GRUNDY COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 6a.m. Wednesday in Grundy County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Ford Ranger driven by a 32-year-old from Trenton, was westbound on MO 6 one mile west of Trenton.
The driver lost control of the pickup on the icy bridge. The pickup slid into the eastbound lanes and struck a 2023 Volvo semi driven by a 48-year-old man from Kansas City.
After impact the semi continued skidding east and jackknifed blocking both lanes of MO 6. A 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by a 59-year-old man from Trenton to rear-ended the Ford Ranger. A 2018 Ford Eco Sport driven by a 25-year-old man from Trenton struck the semi.
EMS transported the driver of the Eco Sport and a 52-year-old passenger in the Dodge to Wright Memorial Hospital. All were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
