An investigation is underway into the cause of fires that
spread from one house to another along Faraon Street, between North 15th
and 16th Street.

Flames engulfed multiple houses with smoke from the fire so
intense portions of Jules Street closed for a while late Tuesday night into Wednesday
morning.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire call at around 9:30
Tuesday night in the 1500 block of Faraon Street. The fire left two houses as
total losses. Another house was heavily damaged and two others didn’t catch
fire, but still were damaged by the flames.

The investigation into the cause of the fires continues.
