ATCHISON COUNTY—The investigation related to the Tuesday evening incident in the 1500block South 8th Street where an explosive device was set off outside a residence that caused damage to the residence continued throughout the day on Wednesday, according to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson. That investigation has led to an arrest.
At 3:30p.m. Wednesday, the Atchison Police Department’s Special Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block South 16th Street in Atchison. Police seized evidence and arrested 49-year-old Taurus S. Beadles of Atchison. He is being held on requeste charges of arson, criminal use of explosives, and criminal threat.
