St. Joseph health officials report 213 new COVID-19 cases since last issuing a report on Thursday, with one additional coronavirus-related death.
The St. Joseph Health Department reports a man in his 70’s died from COVID-19.
The Buchanan County coronavirus positivity rate has fallen, down 1.52% to 13.03%.
The department reports 73 new cases on Friday and 140 cumulatively from Saturday through Monday. Those numbers push the total cases in Buchanan County since the pandemic began above 17,000; now at 17,138. Buchanan County has also recorded a total of 230 deaths.
Hospitalizations have jumped.
Mosaic Life Care reports it is treating a total of 79 COVID-19 patients as of Tuesday morning; 68 in St. Joseph, seven in Maryville, and four in Albany.
