CLINTON COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just after 2p.m. Thursday in Clinton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Dodge Charger driven by Ayrika N. Ross, 22, Raytown, was westbound on MO 116 three miles east of Lathrop.

The driver was attempted to pass another vehicle.  The Charger traveled off the south side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The car traveled off the north side of the road, struck a private drive and culvert, became airborne and came to rest on the north road.

Caldwell County EMS transported Ross to Liberty Hospital.  Tri-County EMS transported two children, a 7-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl both from Richmond, to Liberty Hospital. Ross was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
