King City, MO: Vern Parker Herzberger, 83, of King City, MO passed away Monday, June 17, 2024 at his home. He was born July 18, 1940 in Virginia, Illinois the son of Audace and Anna (Glenn) Herzberger.
On December 21, 1963, he married Jeri Ann Young in University City, Missouri. She preceded him in death on December 20, 2019.
After serving in the United States Army, Vern became a farmer and farmed most of his life. He had a passion for riding motorcycles. He was a member of the King City Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, Jeri, he was also preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Donna Herzberger.
Survivors include his daughters, Dawn Rothermel of Manchester, Connecticut, Denise Herzberger of Las Vegas, Nevada and Dianna (Jay) Talkemeyer of Arenzville, Illinois; 3 grandsons, Alex Rothermel, Salt Lake City, UT, Noah Rothermel, Manchester, CT and Matthew, (Faith) Talkemeyer, Arenzville, IL and 2 sisters, Jane (Jerry) Herzberger Brown, Columbus, OH and Dottie Herzberger Knight, Virginia, IL.
Vern was cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, King City, MO. The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date with Inurnment in the Millen Cemetery, King City, MO.
