Carol Susan Montgomery Minnich Beall, age 82, of Lansing, KS passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 23, 2025, at her home.
Carol was born in Marietta, GA, on December 30, 1942, the beloved daughter of the late George Floyd Montgomery II and Dorothy Ethel Franklin Montgomery. She is survived by her two siblings and their spouses, Robert Franklin Montgomery, Sr. (Marcia) of Daytona Beach, FL and George Floyd Montgomery III (Lynnda) of Dalton, GA.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband Robert Daniel Beall, Sr. (remarried 1990 -widowed 2016). She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Katherine Elizabeth Weik (Thom) of Lawrence, KS; Kimberly Adina Anderson (Tim) of Lansing, KS; Frederick Samuel Minnich, Jr. (Ursula Chapman) of Lansing, KS; and Martin Montgomery Minnich (Ashley) of Savannah, GA; four step-children: Robert Daniel Beall, Jr. (Carol) of Basehor, KS, Thomas Beall (Andrea) of Topeka, KS, Jane Beckwith (Chris) of Tulsa, OK, and Jonathan Beall (Heather) of Shawnee, KS, as well as numerous grandchildren and their spouses; Matthew Simmons of Piper, KS; Alexandra Simmons of Piper, KS; Brett Schultz (Jessica) of Olathe, KS; Aubrianna Anderson of Greeley, CO; Clayton Anderson of Lansing, KS; Ella Minnich of Shawnee, KS; William Minnich of Lansing, KS; Annie Danielson (Conner) of Savannah, GA; Makenna Minnich of Boulder, CO; Cole Minnich of Savannah, GA; Walker Minnich of Savannah, GA, and two great grandchildren: Theodore and Maisie Schultz of Olathe, KS.
Carol graduated from Seabreeze High School in 1960 in Daytona Beach, FL, attended the Women’s College of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, NC. She married the late Retired Major Frederick Samuel Minnich, Sr. of Daytona Beach, FL in 1962 and divorced in 1977. She resided in Fort Rucker, AL; Fort Eustis,VA; Fort Story, VA; Springfield, IL, and Leavenworth, KS. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Saint Mary’s College, Leavenworth, KS.
Carol was the owner of Tri-County Title, Leavenworth, KS. She was well known, well respected and loved in the Title industry of Leavenworth County, KS. Carol was the first President of the Angel Falls HOA, appointed by the builder Wayne Domann before all the homes were built and occupied. She took quite a few years off, but was recently the Vice President. Carol was a beloved member of the First Presbyterian Church (FPC), Leavenworth, KS. She had many interests and friends. She served several times as an Elder, several times as a Deacon and served on the Pastor Nominating Committee. She helped bring the current Pastor Tim Gray to FPC. She helped with the children’s Sunday School program called Godly Play. She often served as liturgist. She also shared her musical talents playing in the handbell choir. She spent her last day on earth with her loving friends of FPC at the Leavenworth Pride Picnic wearing a purple shirt with a rainbow and the following words “BE YOU.”
Carol was the ultimate extrovert and dog lover. She was never without a dog in her life. She loved to talk to any stranger, a true social butterfly. She was an avid knitter, crocheter, embroiderer, artist, gardener, bird watcher, pianist, handbell ringer and a diehard NFL Chiefs fan. Her favorite thing to do was to take her entire brood on family vacations instilling a love of family gatherings to create magic and memories. She assured this would continue after her death, requesting that the family sprinkle her ashes over the ocean from the end of Main Street Pier in Daytona Beach, FL. The family is going to do better than her request. The ashes of her two beloved dogs, Bubbles and Shadow will join her.

Beall to any of the following: The Wild Animal Sanctuary, 2999 Co Rd 53, Keenesburg, CO 80643, to the Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd, Kansas City, MO 64137, and/or to the First Presbyterian Church of Leavenworth, KS. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of Carol’s life, at any time from birth to death, contributing to her life experiences, shaping her into the beautiful human we were lucky to know and love.
The family extends an open invitation to everyone to celebrate the life of Carol. The Celebration of Life/Memorial will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 407 Walnut Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048.Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
