BUCHANAN COUNTY —A St. Joseph woman was injured in an accicdent just after 8:30p.m. Wednesday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Chevy passenger vehicle driven by Megan L. Zimmerman, 38, Sioux City, IA., was southbound on Interstate 29 at U.S. 36.
The driver was following a 1995 Toyota passenger vehicle driven by Daniela Castillo, 36, St. Joseph, too closely. The Chevy struck the Toyota.
After impact the Toyota traveled off the road and struck a cable barrier. Buchanan County EMS transported Castillo to Mosaic Life Care. Zimmerman was not injured. Castillo was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
