ATCHISON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 1:30a.m. Friday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford Freestar driven by Brandon S. Medina, 32, Omaha, was southbound on Interstate 29 five miles north of Rockport.
The vehicle rear-ended the towed unit of a southbound 2019 International semi driven by Nicholas R. White, 27, Beatrice. After impact the Ford traveled down an embankment and into a fence.
Atchison-Holt ambulance transported Medina to the hospital in Hamburg, Iowa. White was not injured. Medina was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
