Byron (Barney) B. Farr Jr, 61, of Leavenworth, KS passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and love on Wednesday February 11th 2026.
Barney was born November 22nd 1964 to Berton and Kathern Farr in Leavenworth. He was a lifetime resident of Leavenworth. He graduated from Leavenworth High School and then attended Bailey Tech, where he received his certificate in Automotive Technology.
All that knew him, knew that he lived to tinker with cars and derby. He was a devoted family man, ensuring that his kids and grandkids had the opportunity to enjoy his favorite garage memories.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda (Susie) Watkins. He is survived by his parents Berton and Kathern Farr Leavenworth, sister Patty Farr Jones Platte City, wife Jackie Farr Leavenworth, son Colton Farr Leavenworth, son Zachary Farr (Lacie) Leavenworth, daughter Emmaly Schmitendorf (Cody) Lansing, and many grandchildren.
The family would like to thank everyone for their continued love and support. Barney has officially broken his final stick and the derby is over.
Celebration of Life will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 11-1 P.M. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
