Chiefs' head coach Andy Reid confirmed that backup center Daniel Kilgore and backup receiver DeMarcus Robinson have been placed on the COVID-19 reserve list Monday, but neither player has tested positive yet.

The news was first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

If they continuously test negative, they can both play in the game.

Kilgore, in particular, would be a tough loss for the Chiefs' offensive line, as they're already without right tackle Mitchell Schwartz (back) and left tackle Eric Fischer (Achilles).

Reid is confident both players will "work through it," and understands the importance of following protocol.

"You follow the rules, man," Reid said. "They're there for a reason. These guys have done a great job. My hat goes off to the NFL and all of these teams for doing this. I think we all know it's a tough situation. You're fighting germs and...they're hard to see, man."

Reid also confirmed corner L’Jarius Sneed and receiver Sammy Watkins both practiced Monday. Sneed has cleared concussion protocol.

The Chiefs and Buccaneers face off in Super Bowl 55 on Sunday at 5:30 central. The game can be heard on KFEQ (680 AM, 95.3 FM) and Q Country 92.7 FM in St. Joseph.
