Wathena, Kansas - Virginia Lucille (Schiltz) Shaw, 81, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Virginia was born on January 2, 1941, in Wathena, Kansas to Francis and Georgia (Slaughter) Schiltz.
Virginia graduated Wathena High School in 1959 and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Wathena, Kansas. She worked for the Wathena Times and Simpson’s Grocery.
Virginia married Don Shaw on May 19, 1961, at the First Baptist Church in Wathena. He survives of the home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Jean Schiltz.
Additional survivors: sons, Kevin Shaw (Sheila), Ottawa, Kansas, Jeff Shaw (Paula), Troy, Kansas. Grandchildren, Leslie Shaw and Sage and Dalton Shaw. Great-grandchildren, Logan, Scarlett and Liam. Brothers, John Schiltz, Fairview, Texas, Gary Schiltz (Karen), of Ecuador.
Virginia's wishes were to be cremated.
Memorial Service: 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kansas.
There is no scheduled family visitation, friends may call after 9 A.M Friday at the funeral home.
