BUCHANAN COUNTY—One person was seriously injured when a car hit a lawn mower Sunday afternoon in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Lincoln MKZ driven by Amy L. Babcock, 31, Stewartsville, was northbound on Route AB three miles east of St. Joseph. The driver attempted to pass a John Deere Lawn mower driven by Carol A. Horton, 69, Easton, as the mower attempted a left turn.
Buchanan County EMS transported Horton to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of serious injuries. Babcock was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt, according to the MSHP.
