Ritchie Branstietter, a cherished father, devoted grandfather, and beloved friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loved ones, on April 28, 2026.
Born on January 30, 1964, in North Kansas City, Missouri to Adis and Jan (Brock) Branstietter.
He was preceded by his loving wife, Deanna Branstietter, and his brother, Allen Branstietter.
Surviving family members, include his children: Dakota (Bridgett) Branstietter, Colby (Bryanna) Branstietter, Wade Branstietter, and Morgan (Russ) Quinn. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren: Orion, Freyja, Isabella, Kynidi, Aiden, and Colton. Additional surviving loved ones include his long-term partner of 12 years Dawn Ferguson, who stood by him in loving companionship and his sister Tink Lancaster.
His life was enriched by the friendships and brotherhood he found as a 3rd degree master mason at the Beehive Lodge #393, where he was a past master. He was at his happiest when surrounded by nature, indulging in his favorite pastimes of hunting and fishing. These moments were made even more precious when shared with his grandchildren. In his community, Ritchie was known not only for his humor but his willingness to lend a helping hand.
A memorial service will be held at Wallace State Park from 2-5 pm on Saturday May 9th where friends and family will gather to share stories and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend a day outdoors with your loved ones, as Ritchie would have wanted. Ritchie Branstietter will be remembered, not with tears, but with the laughter and love that he brought into the world.
