NODAWAY COUNTY - A nearly head-on crash late Wednesday afternoon in Nodaway County killed two.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a sport utility vehicle driven by 30-year-old Tiffany Piveral of Hopkins, traveling south on Missouri 148, crossed the center line and struck a northbound car on the front fender. Both drivers died in the crash.
The name of the second driver, a 17-year-old from Pickering, is being withheld, because she is a juvenile.
A nine-year-old girl, a passenger in the SUV, was taken by medical helicopter to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Two other children in the car, an eight-year-old and an 11-year-old, suffered moderate injuries in the wreck.
