A 47-year-old St. Joseph woman suffered serious injuries after turning her golf cart into the path of a car that struck it head-on early Thursday afternoon in Savannah.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Shelly Wampler was severely injured in the crash on Route E at Dogwood Court in Savannah.
According to the patrol, Wampler was riding west on Route E in a golf cart and failed to yield to the car when turning left. The driver of the car, 27-year-old Sammy Walker of Savannah, suffered minor injuries.
