Maryville woman airlifted to hospital after crash

WORTH COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Sunday in Worth County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Ford pickup driven by Bertsel A. Tate, 52, Maryville, was westbound on MO 246 one mile east of Sheridan.

The pickup's towed unit began to fishtail and the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road.  The pickup returned to the road, crossed the center line, began to rotate and traveled off the right side of the road a second time. The towed unit detached from the pickup. The pickup struck a ditch and overturned on its top.

A passenger in the pickup Stephanie S. Tate, 49, Maryville, was airlifted to Mosaic Life Care in St. Jospeh. Worth County Ambulance transported the driver to Mosaic in Maryville. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
