ANDREW COUNTY—A child died in a a pedestrian accident just before 6p.m. Thursday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported 2003 GMC Sierra driven by Timothy F. Sweeny, 73, Easton, was stopped in a private drive at&nbsp;20722 County Road 279 two miles east of Cosby. 

The pickup traveled westbound and struck a 3-year-old boy from Cosby who was in front of the front passenger side of the vehicle.

Andrew County EMS transported the boy to Mosaic Life Care where he was pronounced dead.&nbsp; Sweeney was not injured.
