St. Joseph PostThe Northwest Missouri State men's and women's basketball teams will be changing opponents for this week's scheduled games against Central Oklahoma and Newman. Northwest will play host to Newman Thursday with the women's game starting at 5:30 p.m., and the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m. The Bearcats will take on Central Oklahoma Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for the women's contest, followed by the men's matchup at 3:30 p.m. Bearcat season ticket holders are asked to use their tickets that are assigned to the date on the ticket and not the opponent.Thursday's assigned ticket date is Jan. 21, while Saturday's ticket date is Jan. 23. "We are rearranging these games to assist other&nbsp;MIAA&nbsp;schools and their efforts to reschedule postponed games," Director of Athletics Andy Peterson said. "It has been a season of uncertainty, but we are hoping this allows more teams in the league a chance to get closer to completion of their full&nbsp;MIAA&nbsp;schedules." On the original schedule, Northwest would have played Central Oklahoma on Thursday and Newman on Saturday. Now, it's flipped. Newman Thursday, Central Oklahoma Saturday.
