A 40-year-old St. Joseph man has been arrested after failing to turn himself in on a stealing charge.
The Buchanan County Prosecutor’s office reports Christopher Amos was arrested by the Special Operations Division of the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office after a foot pursuit. Investigators say Amos appears to have had methamphetamine and fentanyl in his possession.
Buchanan County Circuit Judge Terry White last month sentenced Amos to five years in prison pursuant to the Institutional Treatment Program, but delayed imposition of the sentence. Amos failed to turn himself in to Judge White as ordered.
The Buchanan County Drug Strike Force and Northwest Missouri Drug Task Force are investigating the drug charges.
