Susan (Sue) Kay Clark, 76, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, after a brief illness.

Sue was born on October 10, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to William and Doris (Lastuvka) Turner.

Her family moved to Seattle, Washington when she was a child. She met the love of her life, Jim Clark, after a Beatles concert in Seattle while he was in the Navy. They moved to St. Joseph after they married on October 15, 1966. They were married for 45 years at the time of Jim’s passing on December 25, 2011.

Sue was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She sang in the choir for many years, including a trip to Rome. She also worked for St. Francis Xavier School as a cook and librarian while her children attended the school.

She loved her family, genealogy, her time as the secretary for the Sacred Hills encampment, taking pictures of her family and friends, attending country concerts, decorating for the holidays, and taking her dog Prince for car rides. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed meeting people and getting to know them. Many people would comment on how sweet she was.
