Philip Joseph Trierweiler, 79 of Savannah MO passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at LaVerna Village in Savannah, MO. He was born April 13th, 1944 to Raymond and Corinne (Blum) Trierweiler in Buck Grove, Iowa. His father died when Phil was young and Nick Bissen Jr became step father to four boys and one daughter. Phil married Donna Stessman in August 31, 1968 and have been married for 55 years.
Phil spent his life farming, enjoyed woodworking, making wooden toys for kids and many different crafts, along with gardening. Phil attended elementary school in Dow City Iowa, then 6th through 12th at St. Joseph School in Earling Iowa. He attended Iowa Western College for two years and received his Culinary degree.
Phil served in the Army National Guard and then returned to farming in Earling Iowa. After retiring from farming he and Donna moved to Savannah, MO in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Corrine, Nick Bison Jr., his brothers James, Benedict and Donald, and sister-in-law Darlene Trierweiler. He is survived by his wife Donna, sister Elizabeth Wilcox, sister-in-law’s Margaret, Diane, and Mary Ann Trierweiler, many nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends.
Visitation and family receiving hour will be from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Savannah MO. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Andrew County Ambulance service. Inurnment services will be Friday, June 2nd at 10:30 AM at Faith Family Church Harlan, Iowa and placement at St. Joseph Cemetery in Earling, Iowa.
